Lorenzo Hébert, 95, resident of the Residence O Bon Soins in Shediac, formerly of Moncton, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Grande-Digue, he was the son of the late Jacob and Alvina (LeBlanc) Hébert.
Before his retirement, Lorenzo worked at the Moncton Hospital for 20 years. In his younger days, he enjoyed playing his harmonica, had a passion for music and cars. He was a loving friend, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Lorenza LeBlanc (Eusebe) of Petit-Cap; two grandchildren: Julie LeBlanc (Richard Bourque) of Grande-Digue and Francis LeBlanc (Lissa) of Haute-Aboujagane; four great-grandchildren: Mikael, Anna-Ève, Liam and Loïk.
He was predeceased by a special friend, Theresa Jones.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street. Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday January 6 from 7 to 9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 25 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation.
The private funeral mass will be by invitation only at La Visitation R.C. Church, 416 Route 530, Grande-Digue on Thursday, January 7, 2021. The funeral will be videotaped and posted later in the afternoon on his obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com. Interment will be in La Visitation cemetery, Grande-Digue.
