It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yvonne Arsenault, 86, of Moncton, after a brief illness, on Sunday January 3, 2021, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, Yvonne was the eldest daughter of the late Léo and Arzélie (Caissie) Boudreau.
Yvonne will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 51 years, Gérard "Gerry"; her beloved daughter, Rosa; her sister, Jeannette Aubie; her brother, Norman (Geneva); her sister-in-law, Ozélie Boudreau; along with her other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, as well as caregiver Diane Daigle who was a special part of her family, and her many close friends.
In addition to caring for her daughter Rosa, Yvonne will be remembered for her readiness in helping others as well as her great passion for books and reading.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Paul (1989); her brother-in-law, Philippe (2002); and her sister-in-law, Laurina (Robert Cain).
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff, doctors and nurses at Villa du Repos, l’Auberge du Soleil, and Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their exceptional care.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday January 7 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Thursday from 9:30 am until time of funeral service. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 25 people at a time with social distancing regulations are in effect.
