Anna LeBlanc, 90, of Dieppe, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie-Thérèse (LeBlanc) Melanson. Anna retired from the DSS in Shediac. Her favorite hobbies were playing cards, bingo and visiting the casino occasionally. Her pride and joy was her daughter and her three grandsons.
She is survived by a daughter, Gisèle (Calvin) Berry of Dieppe; sister, Hermance Melanson of Moncton; three grandsons: Justin (Karine), Alexander (Brianna) and Nicholas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Anna was predeceased by her husband, Edward ʺNedʺ LeBlanc (1990); her sisters: Lucie Ryan, Éliza Mainville, Freda Melanson, Loretta Melanson and Joanne Melanson; her brothers: Raymond and Emery.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 50 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation.
The private funeral mass will be celebrated at Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus, 457 Acadie Avenue, Dieppe on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11 am. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 25 invited guests with social distancing regulations are in effect. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. The funeral mass will be videotaped and posted later in the afternoon on her obituary.
