Norma Cormier (51), daughter of Norman (Josée Babin) and the late Bernice (Bourque) Cormier, passed away peacefully on Dec. 15th after a remarkably valiant fight with Breast Cancer over the past ten years.
She will be remembered for her strong will to live. Norma was vibrant, adventurous, classy and physically active throughout her life. She loved music, cooking, travel and going to the gym. With her beauty, insatiable curiosity and can-do entrepreneurial attitude, Norma always stood out in a crowd. She was very smart, funny, stubborn, and stylish in her own unique way and maintained a large circle of friends.
A proud mother and grandmother, she often spoke fondly of "her girls". She is survived by two daughters: Chantal Bourque and Marjolaine Bourque; two granddaughters: Chloé and Danika; as well as four sisters and brothers: Jean, Gisèle (Mario Landry), Denise (Claude LeBlanc) and Georges (Josée); her former husband, Guy Bourque; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Ghidera, Dr. Assi, as well as Dr. Charest and all the wonderful nurses many of whom she felt were friends.
A remembrance to celebrate her life will be held at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Thursday December 19, 2013 at 11 am. In memory of Norma, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
