Thérèse Drapeau
1926-2009
Thérèse Drapeau, 82, of Pointe du Chêne passed
away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 following a lengthy
illness. Born August 16, 1926 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the
late Calixte and Albertine (Soucy) Savoie.
Beloved wife of Maurice Drapeau, loving sister of Yolande Savoie-Ross (Adéodat) of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC, Gabrielle Savoie-Robichaud (late Alfred) and Évangeline Savoie both of Grand-Barachois, Dollard Savoie (Marie-Claire Landry) of Bois Brillant, QC, Roméo Savoie and Sylvio Savoie (Claudette Arsenault) both of Grand-Barachois, Roger Savoie (Chantale) of Saint-Sauveur, QC; sister in law of Antoinette Savoie of Moncton; and cherised aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by two sisters: Dorothé Marcil and Jeannita Savoie-Pellerin, and by one brother Yvon Savoie.
Thérèse was a Mathematics professor, a tutor and a piano teacher. She was a founding member of the Champlain Place Walking Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in a celebration of Thérèse's life at 3p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours on Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. No Funeral Service by family request.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Thérèse's memory to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
